UniKey STD is a USB-based software protection hardware key, the most popular of its kind due to its simplicity of driverless operation. UniKey provides a host of software protection functions, including hardware-based encryption, multiple protection schemes, embedded API protection, ability for remote updates, large memory capacity and both hardware and software IDs for identification of devices.

UniKey ensures only users in possession of the physical device, bound to the licensing and boundaries set through UniKey, cannot circumvent inhibited measures and can only use the software in the manner developers intended. The protection system prevents the cloning of UniKey to evade restrictions set on the UniKey device and software.

Remote Update Management

Remotely update the license of your software on the UniKey device, such as add or remove functionalities, extend the validity period.

UniKey Quick Start Guide

Console

We provide a complete console application to software vendors so that they can manage the UniKey dongle in a single application. There are 4 main functions in the UniKey Console (Edit, Test, Database, and Update). Just click the button in the left pane to enter the corresponding function panel. When the mouse moves over the button, a tip is shown to explain the function of the button. You can operate the dongle attached to the computer via UniKey Console. On the other hand, you can also manage dongles update, database without attaching a dongle.

Enveloper

With the UniKey Envelope, you can enhance overall security by adding multiple layers to thwart hacking attempts, preventing memory dumping and protecting against debuggers. The UniKey Envelope enables you to embed licensing and protect your application in minutes, even if don't have access to source code. The UniKey Envelope offers a quick way to add protection and obfuscation to your application without requiring any alteration of the source code.

UniKey Flash Packer

UniKey Flash Packer is a complete SWF files protection/license solution. It “wraps up” the SWF file and encrypts it with the AES algorithm. Only users with the correct UniKey dongle can decrypt the file and play the SWF file.

UniKey Flash Packer embeds its own Macromedia Flash Player along the SWF file. As a result, end users do not need to install a flash player before playing the protected flash file.

UniKey Video Protector

It is possible to encrypt videos with UniKey video protector and those videos can only be deciphered through the video player when the correct UniKey is inserted.

Only the UniKey Video Protector Player is able to play the encrypted media. The encrypted file is read block by block, decrypted with the Unikey, and played back with the UniKey Video Protector Player. With this method the whole video or audio file will never be stored completely in the memory. As soon as the UniKey is plugged off, the playback will be interrupted.

Assist

UniKey Assist is a small tool that works at client side. The operation is extremely easy, by clicking one button. UniKey Assist will generate a report automatically. End-users can send this report to software vendor to check the details, information about the dongles or diagnose causes of the encountered issues.

Network server

Plug your UniKey on one computer who will be the license server UniKey and install this tool to manage your licenses across the network. This function is only available with network dongles.

Remote updater

Update the license of your clients remotely. You can generate an update file that you will send to your client to upgrade or downgrade his license, renew his license, expand the validity period.
