OVERVIEW
UniToken Lite is a USB-based customized hardware key that offers web authentication for ASP, PHP, HTML by means of two-factor authentication. One factor is the Hardware Key while the other factor is the password to logon the Key. Without knowing the password, no one can logon to the Key, not to mention authentication operation.
The USB-based solution employs the logon request and challenge strategy, which means after receiving the logon request, the web server will challenge the logon request demanding verification information. If the verification information is incorrect, then the Logon Request will be denied. This challenging process highly increases the level of authentication, involving the comparison between logon password generated from the Hardware Key and the comparison password from the web server.
